A living archive,
not a closed room.

Zhenwen Study is the public archive and intellectual map of Ong Chang Boon’s writing. It brings together 2,593 essays, speeches, reflections and poems written from 1992 to the present, across classrooms, school offices, public debates and changing times.

At its centre is a simple conviction: education must preserve human dignity within institutions, while writing must leave an honest record of its age. The collection therefore connects school leadership with Malaysian Chinese education, cultural inheritance, public life, Buddhist reflection and classical literary form.

02 / ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ong Chang Boon 王楨文

Ong Chang Boon is a Malaysian educator in Chinese independent secondary schools and a graduate of the Department of Chinese at National Taiwan Normal University. He has served as principal at five Chinese independent high schools—Klang Chong Hwa, Phor Tay, Sin Min, Pei Chun and Jit Sin. He returned to Pei Chun as Executive Director of the School Board from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026; after the chairman announced his return on 14 June 2026, he formally resumed office as principal on 1 August 2026.

He writes the Hunwang Chunqiu column for Guang Ming Daily. His educational practice rests on four foundations—class management, classroom teaching, co-curricular development and administrative systems—and on a personal ethic: do things well, speak well, and set the heart right.
